We Are Energetic Beings

As energetic beings we respond to the energy around us. People & places with “good vibes” lift us up, and people & places with “bad vibes” bring us down. The energy around us, or field of energy, exerts an influence over us and how we feel.

In Physics, resonance describes the phenomenon of amplification that occurs when the frequency of a force (environment) is in harmony with the system (us) in which it acts. We can be in harmony or in disharmony in our relationships and in our environment.

When we are in disharmony, it can create a feeling of dis-ease. In our bodies, this can feel like stress, tension, restlessness, poor sleep, agitation, frustration, depression, anxiety and even pain. Negative energy takes many forms, but it is not good for any of us. If you feel like you frequently experience negative emotional responses, energy therapy can be extraordinarily helpful.

Sources of Negative Energy

Negative Energy is not hard to come by. We are surrounded with easy opportunities to freely engage with negativity. There are so many negative themes in our entertainment, media, news & music from violence to fear to polarizing politics to pornography that we may find ourselves consuming it without even realizing what we are doing.

The problem is that when we choose to engage with things that incite negative emotions regularly, we lower our vibration. This opens us up to problems, because not only does life get more difficult when we are operating from a low vibration level, but we also resonate with and attract low vibration problems into our lives.

We block our highest potential when we engage life on a lower level.


Entities & Other Dark Energy

I often get asked about entities and other “dark” energy, because it is a problem that many people encounter. My belief is that negative entities are energetically resonating with something that is allowing them to stick around and continue to cause issues.

We are beings of light and we have a larger degree of control over our experience than we may realize. Prayer, meditation, laughter, love, gratitude, compassion, generosity and similar high vibration experiences elevate us, making us a less hospitable environment for a low vibration negative entity in the first place. If we aren’t living mindfully, we may be unconsciously creating the circumstances for entities to interfere.


Raising Your Vibration

In his book Power vs. Force, Dr David Hawkins describes how very low vibration emotions, like shame, are destructive to our health and self-esteem. When we feel shame or engage in behavior that we are ashamed of, we hide, we lie, we deny, we shrink or disappear from others, and we are more prone to other negative emotional experiences like guilt, insecurity and fear. We are blocking our own flow of joy, peace, love, success and abundance by choosing to resonate with low vibration activities and the emotions they incite.

When we block flow, we start feeling like we are forcing life to happen. “Power vs. Force”. So the question is, do you want to live an empowered life, or do you want to feel like you have to force your circumstances to change? Which will drain your energy faster, which will wear you down and make you feel hopeless, or frustrated with your lack of results?

Force is struggle. Empowerment is flow.

Emotions are energy in motion, so we have to be mindful of what kind of energy we are mobilizing in our lives and in our bodies. Low vibration lifestyle habits normalize the negative and make us more vulnerable to the impacts of negative energy. We may not notice this in the short term, but in the long term, common effects include: low energy, feeling blocked, lacking inspiration or passion for living, health issues, depression, and a number of other unintended consequences.

Anything in our lives that incites conflict, anger, insecurity, fear, anxiety, feelings of failure, frustration, longing, unworthiness, lust, shame or ANY negative emotion can have a negative impact on our well being.
